Unity Foundation Sponsors Bullying-Awareness Program

(Unity–)With corporate partner UniTel, Unity Foundation  sponsored Teen Truth Live: Bully, a multimedia motivational and interactive presentation from Montreal-based Teen Truth, at Mount View middle and high schools and at the Maine Academy of Natural Sciences at Good Will-Hinckley in September. Jayne Sullivan, UniTel’s Director of Internal/External Support, worked with Unity CEO Larry Sterrs to bring the presentations to the community after seeing the organization at work at a Human Resources Conference.

Teen Truth Live: Bully has reached more than a million students across North America since 2007. The film and presentation together provide a raw look at the widespread problem of physical bullying, emotional harassment, social stigmatizing and ostracizing that occurs every day in schools and communities.

The Unity Foundation of Unity underwrote the costs of the program in keeping with its mission to invest in community-strengthening programs.
