Jumpstart Our Youth Alum Honored at Awards Ceremony
Lanie Howes, formerly a Jobs for Maine’s Graduates student at Skowhegan Area High School, was recognized by the Northern New England Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals at its annual awards banquet. Lanie was named outstanding youth in philanthropy, receiving the 2013 Demont Associates recognition and scholarship in front of more than 300 attendees. In partnership with JMG, Unity Foundation founded and funds Jumpstart Our Youth across Maine, a student-driven philanthropy program teaching students how to make smart grants in their communities. Lanie has raised more than $24,000 for Make-A-Wish in Maine! See her inspiring story in this video.
