Directions

The Unity Foundation is located at 230 Main Street (also Route 9/202), Unity, Maine.

Directions from the North: (Bangor)

Follow I-95 South to Exit 174 – [Carmel/Winterport-Route 69]. Turn left off the exit ramp, and follow Rt. 69 to the blinking light.

At the blinking light turn right onto Route 9/202. Stay on Route 9. Approximately 10 miles from the first blinking light is a second blinking light in Dixmont at the intersection of Routes 9 and 7. Continue on Route 9.

Approximately 8-9 miles from the second blinking light is the town of Unity. Go past the large athletic complex (Field of Dreams) on the right and cross the railroad tracks. In approximately 0.3 miles from the RR crossing on the right is Unity Foundation’s two-story brick office building.

Directions from the South: (Augusta/Portland)

Follow I-95 north to Exit 132 in Fairfield. Turn right off the exit ramp onto Rt. 139. Follow to intersection of Routes 139 and 201. Turn right onto 139/201. Turn left at first traffic light to follow Rt. 139. Cross bridges, go up the hill and straight through the traffic light at the top of the hill.

Continue to follow Rt. 139 for approximately 4 miles into Benton. Turn left onto Rt. 100, then immediately turn right on Rt. 139. Cross bridge and turn left at the top of the hill. Sign reads “Unity Road.” Continue on Route 139 for approximately 15 miles.

Landmarks in the town of Unity are: Irving Gas station on the left and Unity Raceway on the right; Homestead Restaurant on the left and the Elementary School on the right. At the blinking light, turn left (Route 9/202) and follow Main Street to the Unity Foundation’s two-story brick office building on the left.

Clifford Common, a complex of brick buildings that house the U.S. Post Office and Bangor Savings Bank, is directly across the street from the Unity Foundation.
